Toy Reloaded

Orla is back, and we are rehearsing again. That is all!

Orla has left us to have her baby, we wish her the very best, and hope to see her soon.

We have a new singer (and guitarist) Rachel. We’re enjoying working on some all new material

We are five

Toy Welcomes our new Drummer Beatrice. We hope to evolve our songs to match our new format and bring them to your ears.

We are proud to be performing for Espacio Gallery Artists in February at the Menier Chocolate Factory at 51 Southwark Street in London.

Menier Gallery will host the South London Art Map (SLAM) Bankside  district after party at which we have the honour of performing.

It’s going to be a very exciting night for us.  We’re looking forward to performing some brand new material as well as some of our old favourites.

We are really looking forward to seeing some excellent contemporary art and to meeting the artists.

How Low

We’re working on a new song, called “How Low”, written by all of us.

It’s a monster at nearly seven minutes long and right now it sounds like our best song ever.

You can find us here this Friday 20th May from 8pm at

The White Horse, 9 Kidmore End Road, Emmer Green, Reading RG4 8SD  Tel:  0118 947 3741

See you if we see you!

This evening we are one week away from our second Artsbar appearance. We’re working on an all new set, and still redesigning one song in particular, that now has 26 time signature changes!

Simon put it well last night; we are having a “purple patch”.

Since the start of the year we’ve been riding a prolific wave of creativity, working out no less than SIX brand new shiny songs AND we have a new melody simmering on the hob too, hungry for lyrics  (to be continued…!)

We’re planning to include Steady Yourself and Hit in our next public performance.

Artsbar is in the Cantley Lodge Hotel – Wokingham

🙂

We had a great post-open mic session, freed from rehearsing for a little while, we worked on completing new song “Soon” and started out on a brand new song “Hit”.
